The Shadow

The Shadow
By Andreas Mamet
©2006

Where there is light, there is shadow.

Our shadow is that which we are not conscious of but nevertheless influences our thoughts, speech and action.

The shadow arises from the belief that separation and duality – are real.

It then results in competitiveness and the desire to be bigger, better and superior in relationship to the rest of the world.

The shadow is the self-absorbed state of mind: Me is first and nothing comes thereafter. Everybody on this planet has a shadow.

In order to permeate the shadow with light and awareness, the existence of the shadow must first be acknowledged. This constitutes the first hurdle and this hurdle is huge and massive.

It is in the nature of the shadow to pretend that it is light and understanding. In its ultimate phase the shadow will claim that it operates entirely in the service of God.

Thus it can be explained that we see the most ungodly actions possible – committed in the name of God.

The Vatican is responsible for millions of deaths, unspeakable tortures and suffering because it is ruled by the shadow.

Islam is controlled vastly by the shadow and caused similar suffering on an equally large scale.

Attribution deficiency is the very nature of the shadow. The word “attribution deficiency” means the inability to assume responsibility for one’s actions. The individual who operates in that mode will forever declare: ”You made me do this!”

This behavior modality permeates interactions on every level of societal exchange and is at the base of all conflict. The need to recognize the existence of this modality is of tremendous importance.

Once we acknowledge that each of us has a shadow, we then can begin to send light and awareness into the parts of our psychological and emotional realities that indeed are governed - by the Dark Force.

With the arising of this awareness we can then start to correct our behavior on the basis of illuminating the shadow.

But, as said before, denial is the very essence of the shadow. To get past this wall of denial is an enormous undertaking. The shadow exists in us. It exists everywhere.

In the New Age it exists in the way of wanting to “ascend” and not wanting to deal with our negative emotional and psychological realities. In fact, one pretends that they do not exist. One pretends there is no anger and rage. One pretends there is no deceptive behavior.

As long as this denial is nourished, the shadow will continue to play the field. And while it can exist hidden and undetected for a long time, when a situation of extreme stress arises, that is the moment when it will emerge from its camouflage. At this point it will break loose and kick into action, powered by emotional charge.

To deal with the shadow is especially difficult, if not impossible, for a person who identifies with attempting to live a “holy, religious” life. The hidden, negative dimensions are in such stark, tremendous contrast in relationship to the “holy ideal” which the individual is aspiring toward. The shadow, in fact, is very busy signaling this aspiration toward, and achievement of, the “holy” to the entire world in order to establish its superiority.

The dynamics of the shadow have not been talked about much and I feel it is time to address this subject matter. Only by looking the shadow straight into the face can we begin to create meaningful and comprehensive transformation in ourselves. And once we trigger this transformation within, it will automatically stream into the world and there trigger the transformation so direly needed.

A spirituality that ignores and bypasses the truth of the shadow’s existence is impotent at best, and lethally dangerous at the worst. To deal with the shadow, we need courage and strength. May we all have this courage and strength.

Kindness Meditation

When you wake up in the morning, sit up in bed. For ten minutes, think the word "kindness" which each inhalation and exhalation. Do the same thing before going to bed. It will transform your day and also your dreamtime.

The Power of the Word

Words are Power.

Words have the ability to send another human being into heaven or hell. Words are hugely powerful.

Mostly we do not realize this, as we are identified with the mental/emotional state wherein our words arise. Thus, we do not have access to witnessing our words or actions in many instances. Without this witnessing, we do not grasp the effect of our words.

Also, when we utilize our facility of speech for superficial and insincere exchanges, we dilute our capacity for impactful speech and thus create even more distance to the understanding of how powerful our words are.

When we speak words, we create. Thus, when we speak words that carry beauty, compassion and nobility ---- we create these values and we make them tangible. We put them on the planet.

We create presence and form.

The Situation of The Buddha

That which separated Gautama the Buddha most from mankind was his tangible experience of oneness with mankind.

The Song of Samadhi

It is because the experience of Samadhi has been so interwoven into my reality for such a long time that many things that are offered as spiritual teachings out there are not acceptable to me. I can simply ask, will it lead to Samadhi? And I can see if it does not or cannot.

This way of looking at things, however, is the byproduct of 35 years of being immersed in teachings that from the start did point at this experience. So, perhaps I was just lucky.

I did ask myself, though, if I were to start the spiritual journey today, how I would be looking at things? What would be my situation? I have to use my imagination here, because it is not my situation.

And I can only think that I would be in a very tough spot, not knowing that I am in a tough spot. My situation would be of the neophyte. The neophyte exists without any points of reference as to what represents spiritual essence and how to bring about the flowering of spiritual essence in one’s life. It is like being blindfolded and being told to look for an apple in a room. You don’t know how the apple looks like in the first place and you don’t know if you are in the right room. So, things are difficult.

But we learn from experience. Hopefully. The other day I read that Madonna is now leaving her association with certain spiritual teachings, or more importantly, certain spiritual teachers. I almost felt sorry for her. There she is, an adept in the ways of acquiring material wealth, fame, power, etc, but as far as spiritual matters is concerned, she is just a baby. That particular combination of material achievement and spiritual ignorance is amazing to observe … from my point of observation.

So, what to look for? Wisdom and intelligence. That is my number one choice. Immediately followed by love and kindness. Then there should be power. These three aspects represent a trinity that I personally respond to.

Teachings that require no practice? Oh, yes, there are those. Escape quickly.

The neophyte is in a difficult position. He is like a person who has been starving for many days. If you put a plate before him with a few crumbs of old bread, it will look like a meal to him. He does not know or remember what a real meal looks like or even a banquet. Only once he has seen both and can compare, will he wake up and look at the crumbs and say… forget it.

In my opinion, many spiritual teachings and activities out there … are just crumbs. If you eat them, they won’t satisfy for long. Dissatisfaction will be waiting around the corner.

Perhaps it will be helpful, indeed, to have a conversation with God. So, when you are in the mode, ask Her to bring into your life spiritual teachings that are equal to a celebration. Ask for a feast to be given in your honor. Ask that you will be deeply nourished with Wisdom, Love and Power. Ask that your soul’s thirst be quenched by the best of Divine Champagne. And do not stop asking until the party begins.

Conversations With God

Conversations with God
By Andreas Mamet
© 2006

The following is a conversation with God that I had 20 years ago.
It went as follows: (I was in deep prayer at the time)

Andreas: “Yo, God!”

God: “Hey dude. Wassup?”

Andreas: “I understand you have chosen me to bring your message to the people. I am honored!”

God: “That’s cool, my man!”

Andreas: “There is only one problem.”

God: “What’s that, dude?”

Andreas: “You know, there have been a whole bunch of people who said they were speaking in your name over thousands of years, and in actuality only a very few people had your phone number. Many others made up stuff to gain power and control over people, simply because they enjoyed having control over others. It made them feel good.

Or they had a certain level of access and mixed a part of your words with their own subconscious stuff and narrow-minded belief systems. Then there were also those who were psychically sensitive. They got caught by beings in the astral domains that like to pose as St. Germain or Archangels or others… astral actors, so to speak.

In any case, I just want to tell you that I don’t want the job. If there is anything you want me to pass on, just send me an email. I will then present your words as merely my own opinions and reflections. That way I will stay clear of the ancient-old manipulation of the priests. They implied that, ‘I am close to God. God is infallible. Hence what I am telling you is infallible and you must do as I say.’

I don’t want to go that route. So tell me if my proposition is acceptable to you and if it is, we have a deal.”

God: “Dude, I see what you are saying. I think you have a point. Alright. We can do it this way. If some of my email gets past your spam protection, then it is okay with me if you alter my stuff and present it as your personal opinion and reflection. I like that. It leaves people entirely free, without the subtle manipulations. Let us do it this way.”

And this, my friends, is the story of how a potential prophet returned to the realm of ordinary human beings.

The Human Walk

The human walk is another expression of the soul. It will also express the state that we are in. It will express vitality, confidence, purpose in life... or lack thereof. Pay attention to the way a person walks and you will see much.

Sufis claim that the way a person walks is indicative of who s/he is. For the same reason, they also practice different styles of walking. They say that you can re-design your life by consciously bringing the aspects of what you want to manifest in your life - into your way of walking. If you want success, walk like success. If you want a royal life, walk royally. And so on. Try it. Oberve the way you walk, then change it and express your desired life, in the way you walk.

Paying attention to the eyes, the sound of the voice and the style of walking will give you a reading of a person in a matter of minutes.

The Human Voice

The voice is another representation of the soul. It is possible to hear the current state of a human being by attempting to listen to the sound of the voice, separate from the content of what a person is saying. Meaning, completely ignore the content but just listen to the sound, the subtle nuances of the voice.

I remember at one point sitting in a train in Europe when an (Eastern) Indian man struck a conversation with me. He gave me a lecture on Indian philosophy, which is a mode Indian people easily slip into when they meet "Westerners". Any risksha driver in India will do this. He kept talking about the Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures. At one point I decided to interrupt him and said: "That is fine. But tell me, why are you depressed?"

He was very shocked and asked how I knew that he was depressed. I said, everything about you carries an air of depression. Your eyes, your voice ... all convey the message of depression.

He stopped his lecture mode completely and then began to tell me how he left London because there was no work and that he was desperately seeking employment to feed his family.

The eyes and the voice will instantly reveal the spiritual condition of a human being. Just pay attention and the soul's state is conveyed in an instant.

Human Eyes

The eyes are the window of the soul. When we look into the eyes of another being, we directly sample the reality of that being.

Therefore it is possible to have a vast spectrum of different experiences when we look into the eyes of another person.

We can look into eyes and immediately feel very comfortable, at ease, expanded. Warm feelings arise.

At the same time it is also possible to look into eyes and experience discomfort. We feel contraction and a sense of not being safe in the presence of that person.

These are feelings that arise when looking into eyes. It is important that we register and acknowledge these impulses of our perception, because they deliver a message that we should heed.

Once I discern that I am looking into eyes that create various levels of discomfort, I disengage from looking into such eyes. If I am forced to continue the communication, I focus on a point in the center of the forehead of such a person, as then the negative energy does no more enter me.

If you continue to hold eye contact, the negative energy of the person will continue to stream into you and will diminish you and reduce your life force like a vacuum cleaner.

It is very important to be aware of this and initiate steps to prevent this from happening.

A Brief Commercial

We are currently offering the following workshops:

How to erase the obstacles in our lives and manifest the life of our dreams.

The workshops begin on Friday evening and lasts until Sunday evening. There are 5 sessions during that time, each lasting 3 hours. In those sessions we teach the power of mantra and invocation for obstacle removal and manifestation. We also deal with our psychological and emotional wounds and how to heal those.

If you want us to come to your city, we need at least 10 people (in the US) to work with a group.
Contact me for more details and info.

Life Is Fragile

This to me is an absolute truth. Life can move in ways to cover this truth up, but the cover can lift in a flash.

Interestingly, people who have reached wealth, fame and success are at times in the forefront of realizing how vulnerable they remain. The belief that wealth, fame and succes will make us invincible and happy is maintained by people who have not experienced the same.

The people who have realized worldly success have come to understand their remaining vulnerabilty. They know that life is fragile. They know that they are like everybody else, plus success. There is no other change.

Michael J. Fox believed for a long time that he existed in "God's Pocket," as he called it. Then Parkinson's disease struck and he fell out of the pocket and all worldly success became meaningless over night.

Therefore, it is good to begin traveling to the Central Core of Existence when we are in our strength. It is good to accumulate the Power of Spirit, dive into the essence of our being, rather than believing in the values that the phenomenal world is bombarding us with every day.

I am in favor of success in the world. But I feel it should be in the service of the Soul. It should be in the service of Wisdom, Kindness and Compassion.

I deeply respect people like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and George Soros who are now dedicating their billions of $ to the process of alleviating suffering.

Concept Surfing

I have written before about the seeming inabilty of the mind to distinguish between a concept and an experience. This never ceases to amaze me. The moment we read a book and find a concept that we like or that we agree with, it becomes our "knowledge". To become aware of the difference between promoting a concept and sharing our experience it really requires training the mind and asking oneself, Do I really know this? Is this really my experience and understanding? Or is this an implanted concept?

This is the way that belief systems are created and those belief systems, not based on any real understanding and deeper experience, put us into a position of getting ready to go to war over them, because now the ego-mind structure has high-jacked the concept, it knows that I am right and they are wrong.

The other thing that I have noticed over time is the fact that we really do not hear ourselves speak. And we really are not conscious of our actions and the impact they have on others. We are mostly not ... present. This reminds me of what Christ meant we he said, Forgive them, they do not know what they are doing.

To become conscious also means to become aware of the programs that have been placed into our minds that are not conducive to our well-being and our intention to spread the wings of our soul. To become conscious - and then to delete them.

The Dynamcis of Anger

The origin of anger is to be found in the gap between life as we want to experience it and life as it unfolds, separate and different from our desire of how it should be.

As this gap grows, so does our frustration. Along with it anger and rage builds. As the anger builds in us, there kicks in a mechanism that seeks to release that anger. That mechanism seeks a situation that gives "justified cause" to release. However. as the anger inside continues to grow, it will take less and less to trigger the anger.

For example, Jack Nicholson had a driver cut in before him several years ago. He had so much rage inside him built up, it just exploded in that second. He stepped out of his car, took his golf club and smashed the window of the car in front. Nowadays this is called "road rage."

Basically, we do not know how to deal with this growing anger inside, so the final collective solution always is war.

So, two questions may arise.

1) How do I deal with my own anger building up?

2) How do I protect myself from the outbursts of negativity and rage that people may hand us in our daily lives?

Okay, please come to our workshops for the answer!

Just kidding :-)

1) It is most interesting to note that many spiritual pathways do not provide for a solution to deal with our emotional realities. Most Asian teachings, most New Age teachings do not provide powerful tools.

Innumerable meditation techniques that are perfectly good techniques, Zen, Vipassana, etc, are immensely slowed down because we are sitting on a heap of repressed emotions that prevent those techniques to function efficiently, and most important: speedily.

We are in need for a safe environment where we can engage in a catharrsis of our anger and built up negativity. At times we are just the victims of the anger and negativity of others, without recognizing the exchanges properly. Others' anger and negativity can truly be transferred to us.

In any case, we need to find an efficient way to release these energies.

There exist techniques such as Osho Dynamic Meditation, or Osho Kundalini Meditation, where you shake your body, where you practice breath of fire, where there is space for emotional catharrsis. After passing through those 10-15 minute periods of catharrsis, there is a tremendous relief.

Upon the basis of this relief, then meditation becomes a living, tangible experience. Most meditators who start with silent meditation, do not really experience the inner reality of silence. They just sit silently on the outside, while the inside is an ongoing stream of processing thoughts of insanity, and looping them like a broken record.

2) Various religions and spiritual avenues do provide techniques to protect and remove negativity and shield from attacks.

Tibetan Buddhism will invoke the fierce expressions of Tara, or Mahakala to remove from you the energies that have entered and harmed you.

Judeo-Christian modalities suggest to invoke Archangel Michael to remove the energetic intrusions.

There are many Mantras from the Tibetan or Hindu domaines that will clear negativity.

Many solutions exist. And we teach those in our workshops, no kidding!

Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?

At times the question may arise Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do bad things happen to people that clearly have not committed anything wrong or are clearly innocent? Or to children who did not have enough time even live life?

Whatever happens to us in our life is entirely self-generated. However, this life is not the only one. We have lived many, many times before. And in those previous lives we have at times been not very nice.

Imagine, for example, the history of the Nazis. They killed 6 million Jews alone, and millions more in the remaining time of their reign. What do you think will happen to them, karmically, as a group? They will come back as a group in a situation that will hand them a very, very unpleasant life. Think Africa, severe poverty and violance, AIDS, etc.

One looks at that kind of suffering and cannot help but feel compassion. On the other hand, we do not think in terms of past life actions and the Universal Law that will simply hand back to us the consequences of our actions. There is no Punisher as such. There is simply the Law of Action and Reaction. It functions automatically. Just as you hold up an apple, and if you let go, it will fall down because it is subjected to the law of gravity.

In the same way, everything we do is subjected to the Law of Karma. Whatever we do, comes back to us.

However, this Law operates in a very large context of time and space. The bill may come years or lifetimes later and so the origin of the bill may be lost in time entirely. We do not see the connection anymore. If you go and strike a policeman, the bill will come to you in minutes. But if you go and harm another human being, you may get away for a time being. But the bill WILL come. Years later, or lifetimes later.

It is within this context that we have to understand why sometimes really good things happen to seemingly undeserving people and bad things to good people. Their actions in the past caused the reaction in the present.

Human Suffering

Spiritual Teachings that do not address the reality of human suffering are very incomplete. Teachings that suggest that all suffering is illusion are downright stupid while sounding vaguely mysterious.

When a human being is in suffering, this reality must be addressed in two ways. First, there must be an exploration of how this suffering can be alleviated. Sometimes the solution is not a spiritual technique, but rather $20 for a meal. If possible, this should be provided by activating genrosity.

If there exists emotional/psychological suffering due to life circumstances, powerful techniques that invoke the help of Heavy Hitters from the Divine League can be provided. This is what we do.

At the same time it is important to explore one important question. How did we get into this mode of suffering? It is by making choices that are opposed to our well-being. We make these choices because we do not know better at the time and also because we often choose to not listen. From my own experiences I can say that often the universe provided me with advice prior to an accident in life. Sometimes it was a whisper, at other times very direct invitations to go a certain route. When I chose to not listen, because my ego-mind structure suggested Oh, I know better… then I faced at times serious crashes due to my inability to listen in situations when I should have.

The ego-mind structure is a phenomenon that consists of several programs that seem to be always up and running. Those programs are : I am right and they are wrong. I know and they don’t. I am afraid of what I don’t know.

These programs are the essence of the ego-mind structure. Most interactions between people are based on these programs. Seldom the exchanges are dominated by the heart, which is capable of innocently saying, I don’t know. Teach me. I will listen.

There was a story of a man who came to Jesus to be healed. Jesus healed him and then said, Go and sin no more.

What Christ meant was, look at the way you caused your own suffering and stop repeating the program. This is hugely important, because it is almost pointless to bring alleviation of suffering without pointing out to how the suffering was self-created and suggesting …. Don’t do it again!

To expose the patterns of how suffering is created is a tremendously important part of the healing.

To bring methods that alleviate suffering, point out how suffering was created, and point to the experience of spiritual awakening and the tools to activate it – these three modalities create a body of Spiritual Teachings that is complete.

Such a teaching will have the power and the potency to confront very difficult karmic circumstances and bring alleviation against all odds.

Teachings In Tokyo

Raylene has not checked here email in months because she did not like the different keyboards in Europe. She checked today for the first time and discovered her email box to be flooded with letters from Japanese friends.

We then remembered that she wrote several articles of her experiences in Paris that were posted on Keiko's Dynavision website in Tokyo. Apparently this is the response.

We have our computer here configured to read Japanese writings, unfortunately we don't have ourselves configured to do the same. So we are now scrambling to find out the contents of all those letters.

Japan is calling and as I am going through our email communications with Japan I have stumbled on a letter that contains some testimonies of our work in Tokyo and I have decided to post it below.

Raylene & Andreas are so great. I believe I received tremendous amount of good energy from them. I would like to practice some mantra they recommended for me.

I would like to build a good relationship like Raylene & Andreas. Through this workshop, I realized that I was chosing the same pattern of relationship and losing confidence.

I read Raylene's book and I wanted to meet Raylene & Andreas since then. Their workshop was more than I expected. Thank you very much.

I was very impressed with their deep love. Also impressed with their knowledge from experiences and study. Their workshop was very powerful and also very practical in a way that everybody can learn. Thank you very much.

Through their 2-day workshop, I learned that it is very important to release negative emotion if you would like to make a good relationship with your partner.

I attended this workshop to release old pain when my partner passed on and now I am ready to start another chapter of my life. I am so glad that I met Raylene& Andreas one week before my birthday. This is a good timing to start my new life!!

I finally found something I really need. I was very impressed with Raylene's speech at the Valentine's event. And that made me sign up for the relationship workshop!! Their teaching was very powerful & very practical so that everybody can try.

I had a great time at their workshop. I was very impressed with their deep knowledge of mantra. I hope they will come back again for workshops and so that I can learn more from them.
