The Transcendental Experience

My personal spiritual journey started when I was approximately 18 years old, in Frankfurt, Germany. I was extremely fortunate in the sense that very quickly I met a Yogi from India who instructed my in the most ancient of yogic sciences, without me initially actually having a clue of what I was being given. I learnt Yoga Asanas, purification exercises, and meditation techniques the preciousness of which I did not understand right away.

I pursued this work with the intensity of youth and the determination of a Capricorn. Quickly I spent 3 to 5 hours a day with my practices, which was easy because there were so many of them.

I received yogic training. In those days, the early 70, yoga was fairly unknown and the training that I received differed greatly from what is currently taught in Yoga Schools around the world, which to me is painfully superficial.

The entire training I received, asanas, bandhas, mudras, mantras and kriyas, was aimed at one thing only: to open the inner space, to find access to Samadhi. Even this I did not understand immediately, but I know that my new life made me feel wonderful in every fiber of my being.

Soon the inner dimensions began to open up and the mysteries of meditation began to touch me.

Blueprints of the Soul

Every soul comes with a blueprint of behavior and projects, of things it wants to accomplish in this life.

However, this blueprint then gets forgotten in the process of getting educated and programmed along the lines of the particular values, promoted norms and the status quo of ignorance of any given society on this planet.

While there exist multiple reasons for the arising of depression, one major reason for the individual's experience of depression is the separation from the soul's purposes and projects. Other superficial purposes have overridden the soul's blueprint and are being pursued and given energy instead.

The soul will tolerate this only for a certain period of time before a great sadness sets in. This sadness functions as a messenger of the soul. It says: Wake up, change your goals and priorities and let me be in command of your life again.

And only in the arising of cooperation with one's own soul will this great sadness lift.

If one continues to refuse to cooperate with the guidelines of one's own soul, then we will find ourselves on a collision course with life itself.

And guess who will win.

Cannes and Monaco

Right now two events are taking place here...
The film festival in Cannes is again in full swing and the Grand Prix of Monaco is happening this weekend. We were in Cannes for the day yesterday, and in all honesty the energetic realities there can only be tolerated for a few hours, the glamour and the existential focus ... is painful.

The masses believe that the stars have reached god status, not realizing that they (the stars) have not at all "reached." Suffering can strike in a second, anyone, anywhere, anytime. Again, ask Michael J. Fox.

The only way to run up cosmic credit points ... is to contribute to the alleviation of suffering of others. Let me say it as it is.

The Internet

Bibliotheca Alexandrina

The internet is an interesting place. I feel it is a greater reservoir of existential secrets than the Library of Alexandria, that is presuming you know the secrets of using exisitential keywords in your google quest. Apparently my writings are sprouting in French. So, if you also speak French, the site below is for you.

Alleviation of Suffering

Alleviating the suffering of others is the most powerful and the fastest way of alleviating your own suffering.

Give to others the support you yourself need.

If you are capable to understand the profound depth of this Universal Truth and implement it daily in your actions, your life will change radically and positively.

Live by remembering death

To remember death was an important part of Gurdjieff's Work. He said that in a better world, human beings would remember the possibility of death every day. He stated that it is a kind of miracle that human beings seem to be oblivious that death can happen any moment.

Indeed, to remember the possibility of death seems to create a shift in one's priorities and the choices of actions we could take. To remember death puts things into perspective.

What would I do if I had only 24 hours to live? What would I do differently? What would I not do? Life would become a lot more essential immediately, one would not tolerate one's own energy getting wasted, nor would one allow others to waste one's own energy with the inconsequential and the glamorous.

So, if you have a book to write, a song to sing or love to express ... start today.

Magical Mystery Tour

The Mystery School is going onto the Magical Mystery Tour....

Developments are continuing and thanks to Cecile, we are now also going to Dubai (she lives there but comes to France twice a month -this is how she came to our workshop in Paris).

In case you are surprised, as we are, Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirate, and there are large numbers of Western people living there. I also did not know this..... Cecile invited us to come there and present the teachings... This is all we need, an invitation and a person who has experienced what the teachings do to organize the event.

Our workshops for May and June will be in Mouans-Sartoux, Lyon, Montpellier, Paris, Namur (Belgium). In July we will be in London, and Dubai is scheduled for October.
