Evolution of a Book

Raylene's book is coming out in Japan in June. As you can see, it has changed the cover and the title. Also, at the bottom there is a belt around the book with a recommendation by, as I was told, one of Japan's most famous movie stars, Aya Sugimoto. While Westerners, including myself, have absolutely no name recognition here, this could be like saying Angelina Jolie likes your book.

Cannes - Lyon - Paris - London - Cairos

During a single day it is possible to travel through multiple dimensions. This has reached a point that I feel much more time has passed during 24 hours than just those 24 hours. Days or months seem at times to be encapsulated into a single day. Psychological time.... is moving in a different way. What the overall feeling here is ... being at the right moment at the right place. There is a word for this ... Cairos.

I found this when I researched the term....
"Kairos" is an ancient Greek word. Today, it sometimes appears as "cairos". Some definitions are: "At the perfect moment" --- "Cairos is the ability to recognize the most suitable time for doing something. Moreover, it is indeed an art to act within the eternal flow of time in search of a way that, catching the right moment for an action, actually ensures its success."

Something to meditate on, I feel.

We are in Lyon right now with our friends Solange and Bernard and will be back in Paris shortly. My friend Richard invited us to come to London in August, so scheduling continues to self-arise in a way that is magical, surprising and fulfilling.

Workshops at the Riviera

The workshops over the recent weeks are taking place in an atmosphere of timelessnes and of effortlessness. I do not know if this is in any way connected to the area here, which feels very soft and every day we have this feeling of great comfort of being here. For me it feels like working and living here is something that I can easily imagine. Even though, the way things are looking right now, there is a great deal of traveling on the horizon, with Raylene's book coming out in Japan and Italy very soon.

Extra! Extra! Extra!

Andreas Mamet, disguised as a blogwriter, shamelessly uses Jerry Seinfeld to draw attention of readers to his blog and then reroute the very same attention to topics that are of genuine importance.

What is the essence of our being? What does it mean to exist on the periphery of life? If someone were to say that most souls are in a state of deep sleep - what does that mean? What does it mean ... to become conscious? What does it mean, to witness one's thoughts and emotions, rather than identify with them?

Extra! Extra!

Jerry Seinfeld, disguised as a bee, lands on the beach in Cannes.

The 2007 Cannes Film Festival kicked off with old-fashioned PR smarts this morning when comedian Jerry Seinfeld, flying in on a metal cable, landed on the beach dressed as a bee to promote his upcoming animated "Bee Movie."

The high-wire stunt followed a 20-minute presentation from "Bee Movie," a film that Seinfeld has been working on for more than two years. It's the next major release for DreamWorks Animation after "Shrek the Third," which debuts this week.

"Bee Movie" is the comic's first major project since his beloved TV sitcom went off the air and into perpetual syndication a decade ago. With "yada yada yada," "anti-dentite" and "man hands" seared into fans' minds — not to mention a dozen other key catchphrases — Seinfeld has a lot to live up to.

At least from the footage we saw Thursday and the amount of expense put into the clever Cannes launch, the film looks like a winner. Also on hand Thursday morning: Seinfeld's good friend, Chris Rock, who is hilarious in clips. At least this movie isn't called "I Think I Love My Bee."

Cannes Journal

Yesterday the Film Festival opened its doors in Cannes, turning the town into the capital of illusion. But, we all know that illusions can be fun and the ones here certainly are. For weeks the town was abuzz with preparations. There were workers everywhere, cleaning, building, painting or pasting.

Yesterday afternoon, the beaches were lined with big tents, ready to receive the gods for wining and dining. The tents were surrounded by body guards, whose job it was to make a very menacing and dangerous impression. They did a good job at that.

As we walk by the Carlton Hotel, we notiec it has turned into a big advertisement canvas, with 14 huge posters of the "Ocean's 13" movie between its windows. I just had bought an Italian ice cream when Raylene shouted, "There is Jerry Seinfeld, on the top balcony of the Carlton..."

Yes, the circus has started, the gods have arrived and the feeding has commenced.
It is most interesting to observe the interactions here from an energetic point of view, to see the psychic interactions as they unfold. The crowds have lined up before the Palais du Festival, literally camping out to see the stars. It is a mutual psychic feeding ---- the crowds feed of the glory of the stars and the stars feed of the energetic quality of admiration from the crowds. It is very real.

This reminds me of a story that I have once heard. I have never forgotten it because it was one of those rare stories that give insight into the nature of glamour and fame and reveals why stars are addicted to their audiences and in fact, need them.
The person who told me the story explained that once he went to the concert of a very famous rock and roll band. Somehow, he got a back stage pass and so that was the area where he was. He mentioned to me that actually he was extremely sick with a very bad flu, but he went to the concert anyway since it was such huge event. He was onstage, just before the band was to come in. The area was dark. He decided to cross the stage quickly to go to the front of the audience. As he moved across the stage, he unintentionally caused some noise. This led the audience to believe the band was coming and they broke out in a huge amount of cheering.

My friend told me that when this huge energy began to hit his body, instantly all symptoms of being ill ---- disappeared. They disappered completely and did not return the next day either. He was healed by a giant psychic wave of admiration.

This story is important, as it genuinely reveals the underlying energetic realities in the relationships between stars and the admiring public.

Antibes

Days pass and entire new worlds enter into our experience. From Brussels we went back to Paris, stayed one day and then drove down to the Riviera in Oliver's red Rover. We left in the morning and arrived at night. We are now living in a house in the hills above Antibes. I have no idea how Olivier pulled this out of the hat, Divine Intervention no doubt. (In pursuit of important trivia, Antibes is where the yacht of Bill Gates is anchored...)

We are a few minutes from Cannes, 30 minutes from Monaco and 35 minutes from Italy.

Yesterday our friend Mireille invited us on a tour to Triora, in Italy, a place famous for the many witches that lived there and were persecuted there, too. On the way to it we picnicked on top of a hill overlooking Monte Carlo. Then we drove on to Triora in Italy. There are no more borders here in the new United Europe, so we simply drove into Italy without stopping.

We spent several hours in Triora. It was high in the mountains. The views were spectacular and the feeling was pristine. Triora was a place where many women were persecuted as witches. Today this showed in many little shops that sold witch dolls and many other witchy little items for tourists. The persecuted witches of yesterday became the attraction of today.

It is estimated that over a course of five hundred years 4-5 million women were killed by the Vatican's Inquisition, accused and tortured as witches.

Regardless of the tourism that was alive in the town, there was also a feeling of mystery interblended into the area. It was as if one would not be surprised if a Unicorn would step from behing a tree to say hello.

Toward the evening we drove back and stopped in Nice to have dinner with Philippe and Sandrine. Philippe is an amazing sculptor and I hope to show some of his work here.

We got back around midnight. Raylene was very happy, having had such an astounding taste of the riviera and Italy all in one day.

From Brussels With Love

Joyful in Brussels

After a very fast train ride we arrived in Brussels. Upon arriving, I felt I was stepping into an atmosphere that was both very comforting and expansive. A wave of joy arose spontaenously and washed through my body.

As if to emphasize the feeling, Damien picked us up, greeting us warmly and treating us like his long-lost dearest friends. Damien owns the center and he is the person who is sponsoring our work here in Belgium.

So, I wish to say THANK YOU Damien. Also to Carmen (his partner) and Fabienne, who were instrumental in getting us to Brussels. Merci mille fois.

The talk we gave last night was noteworthy. As people entered the room, they greeted each other and us with much hugging and kissing. By the time everybody had settled down, the soft glow of love and affection had begun to envelop the entire room. It was sweet and amazing.

Our talk lasted 2 hours and appeared to be very well received. In fact, at the end, there was such a wonderful presence filling the room, nobody seemed willing to leave.

Several days later
We completed the workshop and a full day of sessions, yesterday on Monday.

The work was successful and people in Brussels want us back. Therefore we already have planned further dates in fall for a entire series of worshops. Thank you!
