On Trust

It is because we no more trust life and mankind that we often say NO to situations that come before us that we easily could say YES to. Not only that, but even hugely benefit if we take a little risk and say YES." Andreas Mamet

In search of comfort or truth?

Something that is deeply true may not be comfortable, something very comfortable may not be true....

The actual fabric of hell...

"The bigger part of hell is not dedicated to violence and aggression. It is dedicated to trivia and indifference." Andreas Mamet

The Ho' Oponopono Prayer

This is an ancient prayer that was traced back to the Pacific Islands and became popular in recent decades through Dr. Hew Len from Hawaii (who learnt it from Morrnah Simeona, who was given the title of "Living Treasure of Hawaii") Dr. Len used this stunningly simple yet powerful prayer to heal an entire ward for criminally insane patients. A shocking degree of healing. Feel free to research and google on your own.

The prayer goes like this: I LOVE YOU, I AM SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME, THANK YOU.

This is what I understand about this prayer: It is based on the assumption that we are entirely responsible for every experience that comes to us, we create it. Any disagreeable event that comes to us or that we become aware of, we are connected to it and thus are responsible for its existence. It is a responsibility that goes beyond what our small, personal self would be capable of comprehending or accepting and in that sense I feel it extends into a very vast, existential kind of responsibility.

I have worked with this prayer and found it astoundingly efficient. While you can work with this prayer to bring harmony to specific relationships with certain people, I have also found that if you just repeat the words without a direct focus, very soon you will see faces arise in your mind's eye, of people and situations that you may not be at peace with. Surprisingly, I also saw certain aspects of myself in situations where I have not forgiven myself for mistakes I have committed in the past. Or suddenly I just find myself speaking to the Divine with that prayer.

The most astounding thing that I can report, however, is the simply amazing peace that arises very quickly within. I recommend this prayer to heal yourself, your relationships and your life. Try it.

Source of Wisdom

There are those of you who have nice things to say about what you consider to be the wisdom of my writings.

But understand the source of these writings: I am an expert at doing foolish things, doing things that caused me or others great suffering. So many times I have done hugely ignorant things. One could say, I am simply ahead of many in that department. I am very, very human. I am in need of forgiveness as much as I need to forgive.

It is for that reason that I know all the modalities that bring suffering and can simply tell you about it from experience. So, if you can listen, some suffering can be avoided or healed. Maybe.

The Sustained Transcendental Experience

The Sustained Experience of Awakening is difficult enough to reach. Additionally it is very important to note that whatever happened to the individual before the event in the ways of conditioning and programming, often continues afterwards in ways that may be surprising.

The expressions of individuals who live the Sustained Transcendental Experience can differ dramatically so that even if the individual is awakened, we may find not everyone would be our cup of tea.

Ramana lived the life of an ascetic before and lived the same way after, more or less, even though he became accessible to people. He did not talk overly much, but when he did, his words were of an incredible depth and wisdom. He was a truly humble man and in my view, he was rather efficient in passing on the Light to others.

Anandamoyee Ma captured everyone's heart with her beauty and deep devotion. Osho had an intellect like a laser beam and was very funny at the same time. His command of language was both poetic and awe-inspiring.

But we also have other expressions, like for instance U.G. Krishnamurti. I do feel the man too "had" it. Yet even when he met Ramana, he was arrogant and his style lacked basic courtesy and this did not change after his awakening. If you listen to him, it feels as if there is an angry, cantankerous and vulgar old man, ranting and raving. His skill of communication makes me wonder if there are many people who benefited from him.

So, the range of expression of the awakened mind can differ hugely and is very confusing. In the end, you have to follow your own heart and intuition and go with the cup that suits your own tendencies and preferences. If at all you are looking for spiritual guidance, just look inside and simply ask " Will I benefit from associating with this teacher?" Your heart will tell you the answer.
