Letter to Ayaka

Dear Ayaka,
We love you and you are important to us.

There exist a great problem for all people who begin to go deep into the world of meditation. That problem is that they need to become sensitive to the Presence of the Divine inside themselves. As they succeed in this they begin to find that they also are becoming increasingly sensitive to other people and their hidden negativity. That negativity may be unexpressed, but it becomes extremely obvious to a person who meditates deeply. Not only obvious but difficult to endure, because the hidden becomes very transparent. A person who carries negativity emanates a very bad scent for someone who knows deep meditation.

It is for that reason that mystics have often chosen to live a very secluded life. Their sensitivity made it difficult for them to be in the world. They felt TOO MUCH.

However, there are several solutions for this.

Meditate on the Hara, since this will center you closer to the Earth.

You also need to activate your physical energies more so that you are rooted more in your own body. You may consider swimming, or soft jogging or dancing to music. This will anchor you in your body and it will become easier to withstand the negative emotions of others. You are in Japan, and repressing and not expressing emotions is a speciality for Japanese people.

I also recommend that you get OSHO KUNDALINI MEDITATION and explore this technique. It is powerful in many ways and especially in the way that it shakes off negative energies that you may have picked up during the day.

love,

The Work

The work is continuing nicely here. Conferences, workshops and individual sessions are taking place in a lovely flow. The weather here is truly enjoyable and we were told that Menton is located in a Micro Climate, meaning the temperatures are very much the same all year round due to the surrounding mountains creating a protective bubble. There are oranges and bananas in the garden and flowers are blooming right now.

Teaching in the South

We are back teaching in the south. It never ceases to amaze me how we walk into these self-arising situations, or so it seems. Last night we gave a conference in a really beautiful place. 20 people showed; we gave a talk on our teachings and then we started a 90 minute practice session. As usual, people are neither used to this type of practice level, nor are they used to what happens inside their consciousness in this type of work. The message: Explosion of Consciousness - You can have it. Cessation of your suffering - You can have it.

This morning we woke up in a really cute apartment, again a few minutes from the beach, plus a few minutes walking from the Italian border. There are banana trees in front of the building.

With Solange in Lyon

We are on our way to the south, stopping for a day to stay with Solange in Lyon.

Motto for the day: Every day train your mind to be ... mindful of the power of the word.

Words can create heaven or hell. Make your choice. Create heaven and do it right now and right here.

Back to the Riviera

We are leaving for the riviera tomorrow again for more workshops, also some conference in Lyon. Posting may remain slow, but will continue.

Motto for the day: If you have a chance to act compassionately, do it. It will heal the other AND it will heal you.

Your Lineage ID, please...

The other day I was asked what lineage I belonged to... the question was asked within a Buddhist context. The woman was ... Buddhist.

What lineage did the Buddha belong to? If you take the trouble to research this, in case you do not know ... he was the starter of a lineage. There was nobody before him. What happened is that he learnt under many teachers of his time, only to find himself dissatisfied after having mastered what they had to teach. So he left.

The Buddha was a revolutionary in the sense that he first applied what was given to him, but then, because he felt it was insufficient, quicky went beyond.

So, he ended up doing his own thing, to say it in the old California way.

How will the answer to this question, whatever answer could be given, could be taken as an indication of consciousness? If one wants to know ... one has to look, deeply as a consciousness, to see the consciousness that stands before us. This by itself is no easy thing. To see clearly, without projecting anything, can only be done when the inside is very, very silent.

So, if you want to know what lineage one belongs to.... be very, very still and then look again...

If one were to live the spirit of the Buddha, one could not possibly find oneself proclaiming a Buddhist. Buddha brought spiritual revolution. He went deeper and beyond all spiritual teachings of his day.

So, I invoke this very spirit of the Buddha and extend this very same invitation: Let us go deeper, deeper and leave behind all the limitations of consciousness ... as we know them.

Being yourself 2

This very much includes speaking your truth, speaking what you think. Not a new concept, but certainly a forever radical one. Try it.

Be yourself

The more we are truly ourselves, the more we will attract people who are that too. We will continue to experience a shifting in the world of our relations with people.

Being yourself is like turning the heat on and putting your metal into the middle of it. Only other metals with the same determination will rest next to you.

Dear Solange,

A few words...

The fact that you traveled all the way from Lyon and back by TGV just to attend the Saturday Healer's Training rates rather high in our book. Therefore, we really must say to you that
We really appreciate this much appreciation.
